Dog Days @ SA Botanical Garden
All Month Long
Dog Days at the San Antonio Botanical Garden runs from July 7 through August 31, 2025, inviting guests to explore the garden with their leashed, vaccinated dogs. Visitors can enjoy 38 acres of vibrant summer landscapes, with members gaining early entry at 7 AM and general admission starting at 8 AM. The event is included with regular admission or membership. To help protect the garden, dogs must stay on marked paths and are not permitted in select areas like the Culinary Garden or Children’s Vegetable Garden.
Weekends in August
Big Bugs takes over the San Antonio Zoo with giant animatronic insects that buzz, crawl, and amaze. Included with admission and free for members, this immersive exhibit features oversized bees, butterflies, praying mantises, and more, all designed to teach guests about the importance of insects in our world. Enjoy weekend extras like rideable Critter Cruisers, bug-themed snacks at the Insectería Pop-Up Tent, live music, animal chats, and special appearances throughout the summer. Select Nights in August
Light up your summer nights at AquaGlow, Aquatica San Antonio's after-hours splash party happening on select evenings from 6 PM to 10 PM. As the sun goes down, the park transforms into a glowing paradise with neon lights, illuminated water slides, vibrant photo ops, and high-energy music around every corner. Dance through a foam-filled party zone, float under glowing tubes in the lazy river, or chill poolside with glowing drinks and snacks. With limited capacity and shorter lines, AquaGlow is the perfect way to cool off and keep the fun going after dark. Tickets are sold separately from daytime admission and start at around thirty dollars.

Get ready for One Night of Queen featuring Gary Mullen and The Works at the Tobin Center’s H‑E‑B Performance Hall on August 2, 2025, at 7:30 PM. This electrifying two‑hour concert faithfully recreates the spectacle of Queen with powerhouse vocals, iconic stage theatrics, and all your favorite hits like Bohemian Rhapsody and We Will Rock You. Celebrate summer’s spooky side at The Haunted Dollhouse’s Summerween Bash on Friday, August 8, from 7:30 to 10:30 PM at The Haunted Dollhouse. Featuring costumes, candy, ghostly games, and a tour through a real haunted house after dark. Enjoy spooky music, haunted vendors, trick-or-treating for all ages, and delightfully creepy activities throughout the night. SeaWorld San Antonio is turning up the heat with the all-new Red, White & BBQ event, running Fridays through Sundays and on Labor Day from August 9 to September 2. Presented by The Will Smith Foundation, Frost Bank, The Arcadia Live in Kerrville, and the Kerrville Folk Festival, this heartfelt event features performances by Lyle Lovett, Gabriel Fluffy Iglesias, Los Lonely Boys, Reckless Kelly, John Baumann, Bri Bagwell, and more, with comedian Steve Treviño serving as host. All proceeds will support the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, helping rebuild homes and restore communities in Kerrville, Ingram, Center Point, and Comfort.
