Realty San Antonio Judges a Fast-Pitch Philanthropy Competition
Agent Success Manager Marisa Jackson served as a judge for Philanthropitch San Antonio, an organization that holds fast-pitch competitions for social impact philanthropies seeking funds.

Giving back and supporting our community is the cornerstone of Realty San Antonio’s mission and culture. We were thrilled to begin our community involvement efforts with Agent Success Manager Marisa Jackson representing Realty San Antonio as a 2021 judge for the 4th Annual Philanthropitch San Antonio event.
Philanthropitch hosts fast-pitch competitions for social impact nonprofits looking for extra fundraising to support their community initiatives. Much like the popular television show, Shark Tank, five innovative nonprofits must pitch their concept to a panel of local judges and a live audience.
Hosted on October 12 at the Tobin Center, Jackson took the stage with six other judges to hear the thoughtful and inspiring pitches. The panel was selected with local leaders who have experience working with the social impact community.
Prior to real estate, Jackson served as a school psychologist for 12 years. Before leading the Realty San Antonio office as the Agent Success Manager, Jackson was a 4-time San Antonio Platinum Top 50 Finalist and a National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals Top 100 agent in the region. Her deep San Antonio roots and passion for uplifting the community set her up to provide an experienced perspective to the nonprofit finalists looking to scale their mission.
“Being a judge for this event is such a great honor,” says Jackson. “I am judging alongside such great people and companies that have such beautiful and philanthropic hearts. It's great to see the amazing impact that everyone's individual efforts can have.”
Jackson had the opportunity to offer guidance to the following finalists:
- Bihl Haus Arts is founded on the belief that each person, when given a chance, will achieve significant personal, social, and cultural growth through the arts.
- Culturingua cultivates, promotes, and preserves Middle Eastern, North African, and South Asian (MENASA) cultural, linguistic, and artistic heritage to invest in human, community, and economic development.
- Girls on The Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.
- Maestro Leadership Foundation focuses on growing existing small, minority, women-owned businesses beyond the $1 million mark and helping create jobs in a historically underutilized area of San Antonio.
- Pride Center San Antonio, Inc. serves the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and HIV communities by connecting them and their families to community resources and organizations.
Because of the passionate leaders looking to better our community, Jackson’s judges' group made history by raising more money than any other Philanthropitch group locally or nationally. The event raised over $150,000 in total and Realty San Antonio contributed $12,000 to the ground-breaking goal.
