San Antonio, TX - Home to some of the best tacos and Tex-Mex in the state, it makes sense that San Antonio would have incredible margaritas. We don’t want you to get lost in the endless options, so we’ve compiled a list of the most incredible margs in the Alamo City for you to enjoy.

La Fagota

La Fogata's margaritas are award-winning, having won first prize for five consecutive years at the San Antonio pour-off contest. They are proudly made with 100% blue agave tequila. You can choose from a variety of flavors, including the award-winning margarita, sangria margarita, blue margarita, strawberry margarita, mango margarita, and skinny margarita. For a premium experience, try their top-shelf margaritas made with the tequila of your choice, or the Corona Rita, a combination of beer and margarita.

Sanchos

Sancho's Cantina & Cocina has earned its reputation for crafting exceptional margaritas, having been voted "Best Margarita" for four years running (2016-2019). You can enjoy a perfectly blended frozen margarita or a well-balanced one on the rocks. For those seeking a bit of adventure, their customizable margarita flights with juice, liquor, or top-shelf swirls present a playful way to explore flavors like tangy prickly pear or floral hibiscus. Be sure to sample their unique creations, such as the lighter Flaca 'Rita or the sophisticated Lisa 'Rita and La Reina 'Rita, which showcase premium tequilas and liqueurs.

El Mirasol

El Mirasol features a full bar, but margaritas are their specialty. Enjoy one on the rocks, frozen, flavored, and even spiked with Jager. They also have a beer-rita that comes with your choice of brew. Try one or a few during your visit, but be sure not to leave without trying the Chispas Marisol. It’s a handmade margarita that’s low-calorie and packs a delightful punch.

AJUUA Mexican Grill

Located in a low-key setting on Huebner Road, AJUUA is a sure thing when it comes to margaritas and food. Enjoy top-shelf tequilas at more affordable prices and go with El Jefe and Cucumber-Rita, made with top-shelf Maestro Dobel Diamante Tequila, La Flaca (The Skinny), made with Herradura Reposado Tequila, or try something new and go with the Paloma, a twist on the margarita with grapefruit soda, a squeeze of lime, and Maestro Dobel Diamante Tequila.

Paloma Blanca Mexican Cuisine

A key establishment in Alamo Heights since 1997, Paloma Blanca has been consistently serving up great hospitality, food, and drinks. They only serve 100% pure blue agave tequilas, and while all of the options are delectable, The VIP, The ‘09, and The Heights margaritas are a must during any visit. If you’re feeling adventurous, try their Mezcal!

Lupe Tortilla

Lupe Tortilla is a must for delicious brunch margaritas or all-day options. All of their margarita options are delicious, but Lupe’s Perfect Margarita will end up on your regular list of favorites. Plus, they offer a carafe option that’s the equivalent of a pitcher. If there are only two people in your party, opt for the bar. The bartenders are fast, efficient, and attentive.

La Perla Del Pacifico

In addition to outstanding, authentic Mexican seafood like molcajetes with shrimp and tacos with snapper, La Perla Del Pacifico (The Pearl of the Pacific) has delicious margaritas. Taste the flavor of Mazatlan with a few tasty items from the food menu paired with their no-fuss frozen margaritas and mangonadas that are available for dine-in and to-go.

Fish City Grill

Don’t let the name fool you. Fish City Grill does have delicious seafood, but they also have pretty tasty margaritas. Put in an order for their crispy calamari or oysters on the half shell and pair it with a Perfect Patron, Spicy Silver, Prickly Pear, or Frozen Gold Margarita. You’ll be glad you did.

Henry’s Puffy Tacos

A San Antonio staple, Henry’s Puffy Tacos has years of experience in making a solid margarita. If you’re an on-the-rocks fan, try the Perfect Patron Rita, Cabo Wabo Rita, or Skinny Margarita. For frozen preferences, try the Bandera Rita, Chamoy Rita, or Dos a Rita, which features a Dos Equis beer bottle submerged in the house frozen lime margarita.

Rosario’s

With a tagline like “Feed the Heart, Quench the Soul”, Rosario’s is a place that’s sure to provide an exceptional experience. Go traditional with Rosario’s Original Frozen or Rocks Margarita, keep things trim with La Flaca (the skinny), or spice things up with Pica Pica, which features Hornitos Reposado infused with cucumber and jalapeño—looking for something extra special? Try the Watermelon Mint Margarita.
